Join us for a traditional Wassailing celebration at the Twisted Cider Barn and help us welcome a prosperous cider-making year ahead. Wassailing is an ancient West Country custom, dating back centuries, where communities gathered in orchards during winter to sing, make music, and toast the apple trees to encourage a healthy harvest. The word “wassail” comes from the Old English waes hael, meaning “be in good health”.
This lively afternoon will blend history, folklore, and fun, with the Wessex Morris Men bringing the tradition to life through energetic dance and music. Warm up with the atmosphere of the barn, learn a little about the roots of wassailing, and enjoy the unmistakable spirit of Twisted Cider as we celebrate apples, community, and tradition.
